DESCRIPTION:Teatime for Peace is an interfaith gathering of communities to listen\, learn and contribute to better understand our citizens. \nThis event is a chance to have tea\, snacks and conversation with neighbors from diverse communities that may not otherwise get a chance to come together. \nThe premise is simple: come have a cup of tea with your interfaith neighbors and learn through human connection. Break through the stereotypes and build bridges of faith by focusing on our similarities and celebrating our differences. \nThe August 28\, 2018 Teatime for Peace is hosted by the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW). The NCJW is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values\, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women\, children\, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. \nThis event requires advance registration either by phone or on-line. No walk-ins accepted. \nEvent Date: Tuesday\, August 28\, 2018 Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The program will run from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. \nOnce you register\, you will receive location details via email.
