We did not stay silent.
CAIR-Ohio, founded in 1998, is a civil rights and advocacy organization empowering Ohio Muslims. CAIR-Ohio is one of 35 chapters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and has office in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland.
Through legal representation, education, media relations, and advocacy, we empower the American Muslim community and encourage participation in political and social activism. We counsel, mediate, and advocate on behalf of Muslims and others who have experienced discrimination, harassment, or hate crimes. Our lawyers work to protect and defend the constitutional rights of Muslims and immigrants through our pro bono legal services.

CAIR-Ohio's vision is to be a leading advocate for justice and mutual understanding.

CAIR-Ohio's mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, protect civil liberties, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
Our legal team provides free legal services to Northern-Ohio Muslims facing religious discrimination and lslamophobia.
We engage in non-partisan lobbying and advocacy to complement our legal work and empower Ohio Muslims.
We issue press releases and appear on local and national media outlets to amplify the concerns of Ohio Muslims and educate the broader public.
Foster mutual understanding, collaboration, and respect among diverse faith communities, strengthening unity and promoting a more inclusive and supportive community.
We provide interactive workshops and mentorship opportunities to help students gain a deeper understanding of advocacy, leadership, identity, and civic engagement while connecting with peers who share similar values and backgrounds.
We provide educational material and training on civic engagement, civil rights, and inclusion. We partner with advocacy and faith-based organizations to empower all marginalized people.
As Muslim communities in Ohio grow, we see it as our responsibility to further engage and amplify the voices of our communities. These numbers represent the hard work and dedication of the CAIR-Ohio team at the forefront of advocacy and empowerment.
