(CLEVELAND, OH – 12/15/2021) – The Cleveland chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OH) released their Year End Review for 2021.

Our goal is to ensure we can continue to serve our community. To do that we need your support and partnership. Because of you, our work continues.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our grassroots chapters across the country continue to advocate for the rights of Muslim Americans to worship freely and to be treated equally under the law. We continue to challenge Islamophobia and fight for social justice.

CAIR staff and Muslim community members testified before the Ohio Redistricting Commission to advocate for fair maps and proportional political representation.

CAIR works to enhance understanding of Islam. We serve on the steering committee for Teatime for Peace, which held two events in 2021. Although the pandemic impacted some of our in-person activities, the project continues to flourish under collaborative leadership, and more programs are planned for 2022.

CAIR participated as a partner of the 2021 National Voter Registration Day campaign to register new voters and help educate citizens on their voting rights.

These are just some of the efforts that continue during the pandemic. To view our 2021 Year-End Newsletter, please click here.
